An Ilon wheel (also known as a mecanum wheel) is a common component necessary for many schematics that require omni-directional movement. These applications can include AI constructs and any other mechanism that requires unrestricted movement. Smaller applications may utilize an omni wheel, more precise movement may be achieved with a trackball, a ball transfer unit.
